Rehearsals are in full swing for Austin’s Listen To Your Mother Show, featuring readings by local Austin writers (including me!). LTYM celebrates the good, the bad, and the beast that is motherhood.
We did our first table read in Austin yesterday and it was an honor to be among such gifted and powerful writers.
Each of the essays, poems, and spoken-word pieces made us laugh out loud, cry, and nod knowingly. It’s not an exaggeration to say that this is going to be an amazing show that anyone lucky enough to attend will remember for a long, long time.
While this show celebrates motherhood and mothers (and grandmothers!), anyone who has ever been (or even thought about becoming) a parent or grandparent will find something that resonates.
Everyone is welcome, though be aware that some of the topics may be a bit intense for small children (the language is pretty clean, though).
Tickets are going fast so don’t wait! You can get them HERE .
